Diane has more than 20 years of experience as an employee benefits attorney. She has designed and drafted various types of retirement plans and supplemental executive retirement plans for private and public companies and for taxable and tax-exempt employers. Diane has assisted clients in adopting flexible benefit or cafeteria plans, health plans, severance plans and various other welfare benefits. She has extensive experience in employee benefit issues involved in corporate acquisitions and reorganizations and in the design of employee benefits following such transactions.
Diane is the immediate past national President of one of the largest U.S. employee benefit professional organizations, the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network. Since 2004, Diane has been ranked by her peers as a “Leading Lawyer” in a survey published by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. Additionally, since early 2009 Diane has been named as an Illinois Super Lawyer by Law & Politics.
Maureen focuses her practice on advising clients on a broad range of employee benefits matters, including qualified plan design, welfare plan design, employee benefit plan compliance issues, fiduciary matters, multi-employer pension plan issues and executive compensation matters. Maureen has extensive experience in advising clients regarding issues affecting employee benefit plans in sales, acquisitions, spin-offs and other corporate transactions, as well as issues arising from restructuring proceedings, including plan terminations. Maureen has also represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
